City to provide free bus rides to the polls on Tuesday

The municipal election is this coming Tuesday, and the city bus service will provide free rides to the polls.

Voters can choose among four candidates for mayor, and five council seats are open, with four contested.

Pecos Trails Transit will take voters to the closest polling location, or Voting Convenience Center, from where they boarded the bus. The six Voting Convenience Centers will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Waymaker Church, 202 S. Sunset Ave.;

• ENMU-Roswell, Union Building, 48 University Blvd.;

• West Country Club Church of Christ, 700 W. Country Club Road;

• Chaves County Clerk’s Office, 1 St. Mary’s Place; and

• St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 2911 N. Main St.
