Castulo Robert Torres “Narco Bob” (as he was known to most), 83, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, in Roswell, New Mexico. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, March 18, 2018, 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM, followed by a Service at 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at General Douglas L. McBride Cemetery on Monday, March 19, 2018, 2:00 PM. On May 9, 1934, Castulo was born to Castulo M. Torres and Santos Perez in Corona, New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Tina Torres on August 22, 1959, in Roswell, New Mexico. He worked for twenty years as a Security Guard for the Roswell Independent School District (RISD). Castulo had a deep faith in God and he was a devoted member of Trinidad Community Baptist Church. He was an avid member of the New Mexico Mounted Patrol. In retirement, Castulo enjoyed woodworking and watching TV, but mostly he loved gardening and reading. He was a big fan of the “Cowboys” football team. Most of all, Castulo loved to spend time with his family and friends. His family will carry fond memories of Castulo and he will be greatly missed by all.
Those left to cherish Castulo’s memory are his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Tina E. Torres; sons: Robert W. Torres, Richard Torres; grandchildren: Bobby, Danny, Derrick Torres, Darrah Torres, Michael, David Torres, Bryanna Lynn Torres; great-grandchildren: Justin Ray Allen, Lillie Abigale, Elijah Blu Torres, Alesha, Isaac; sisters: Josie Gutierrez, Susie Pearson; brother, David Torres; nieces and nephews: Diana Castro, Prissy Valdez, Dominick Escobar, Stephanie Moore, Randy, Kenney, Eric Gutierrez, Sandra, Patsy, Helen, Debbie, Adelena, Israel, Tony Jr, Ralph Jr; and precious pets: Gunther and Cha Chi.
Preceding Castulo in death were his parents: Castulo M. Torres and Santos Perez; grandson, Darrel Torres; brothers: Spedeon, Manuel Torres; sisters: Carolina Longoria, Julia Mendoza; nephew, Tommy Mendoza; and niece, Shen Pearson.
