United Field Ornithologists of Roswell Meeting

The United Field Ornithologists of Roswell welcome continuing and new members, as well as anyone interested in or curious about about birding in Southeastern New Mexico to their meeting at the Retreat at Enchanted Farm, 1804 E. College Blvd. U.F.O. will continue to discuss their plans for the club’s activities moving forward. Field trips are going to be discussed and bird photography accomplishments and challenges shared. A family-friendly day at the Spring River Park & Zoo, 1306 E. College Blvd., with a SpEGGtacular Scavenger Hunt for the public takes place throughout the zoo. There will be prizes for those who finish. For more information, call 575-624-6760.

Morning Garden Club do-it-yourself craft

The Children’s Department at the Roswell Public Library, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is teaming up with the Roswell Morning Garden Club. Kids ages 6 and older —younger must be accompanied by an adult — will get to decorate their own planter holders and will also get to plant their very own houseplant. They will also leave with seeds to plant on their own. The event takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. No registration required, but space is limited. For more information, call 575-622-7101.

Chalk Art in the Library Park

Chalk Art in the Library Park is a free event for all ages. Show your creative side with washable chalk art fun, designed for any level of artistic ability, imagination and fun, along with a demonstration on how to make chalk. Spring Prom Casino Night

Tobosa Developmental Service is reviving and old tradition celebrating National Prom Day. The theme for the first Spring Prom event is Casino Night. The public is invited to join in for an unforgettable night of dancing and games at the Roswell Adult and Senior Center, 807 N.
