Building a team for the future

During the 2018 Teen Leadership Institute on Wednesday, students participated in many activities and obstacle courses to build their skills toward becoming a leader and learned the importance of working as a team. Hannah Robertson of Leadership Roswell said 40 local junior and senior students were chosen to participate in 2018 Teen Leadership Institute hosted at NMMI by Leadership Roswell Association with sponsors from ENMU-R and NMMI. They participated in a full day of leadership training. At the end of the day, three students were awarded scholarships amounting to $2,000 to the college of their choice. Roswell is full of teen leaders and these students were eager to learn, participate and work as a team, Robertson said. (Submitted Photo)
