Police identify possible suspect from Monday homicide; Man found with serious injuries at scene expected to survive

A possible suspect has been identified by authorities in a homicide investigation after a 46-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in west Roswell Monday night — though their name has not been released.

According to a news release from the Roswell Police Department, officers were called to the apartment in the 300 block of South Birch Avenue about 8:25 p.m.  

Police said a 55-year-old man was also found in the apartment suffering from serious injuries.  

“He remains hospitalized in critical condition, but is expected to survive,the RPD’s public information officer, Todd Wildermuth said. “Roswell Police Department investigators have identified a possible suspect in this homicide/aggravated battery case.” 

The name of the possible suspect has not been released, and no charges have been made at this time.

Both victims are from Roswell.
