New Mexico’s Got Talent

Voting is now open for the public to decide who is going to perform on April 28th at the New Mexico’s Got Talent show at the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. Free community egg hunt

Gateway Christian Church is hosting a free community egg hunt at Cielo Grande Park, 1612 W. College Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Along with egg hunts, relay races, balloon animals, face painting, prizes and bounce houses, the children’s favorite super heroes will be there to meet and take a photo with. Morning Garden Club Do-It-Yourself Planters

Morning Garden Club do it yourself craft: The Children’s Department is teaming up with the Roswell Morning Garden Club at the Roswell Public Library, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Kids ages 6+ (younger must be accompanied by an adult) will get to decorate their own planter holders and will also get to plant their own houseplant. They will also leave with seeds to plant on their own. No registration required but space is limited so arrive early. For more information, call 575-622-7101.

Chalk art at the Library Park

The Roswell Library invites the public to its free all-age Chalk art in the Library Park. Participants can explore their creative side with washable chalk, designed for any level of artistic ability and imagination, along with a demonstration on how to make chalk. There will be free lemonade and snacks provided. The Library Park is situated on North Richardson Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets. For more information, call (575) 622-7101.

Spring break program at RMAC

The Roswell Museum and Art Center, 100 W. 11 St., is hosting a spring break program on all three days from 9 a.m. until Noon. Children can join in on a trip to the cosmos and explore space through both science and art. Students may choose to participate in a single topic or combine both. Scholarships are available for this spring break program. Topic is interstellar art with various art media. The program is divided up in section I for grades K-3 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and section II for grades 4-7 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The other topic is planetarium adventure exploring the planetarium in full dome and visiting distant galaxies and even a black hole. This program is divided into section I for grades 4-7 at 9 to 10:30 a.m. and section II for grades K-3 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. For more information, call 575-624-6744.

Meet the family of Crazy Horse: Book signing

Floyd Clown and Doug War Eagle of the Crazy Horse family join author William Matson to discuss and sign their book “Crazy Horse: The Lakota Warrior’s Life and Legacy” based on the Family’s oral history.
