Easter baskets for Assurance Home

Several members of Altrusa stand with Ron Malone, executive director of Assurance Home with the Easter baskets Altrusa provided for the children of Assurance Home. Assurance Home opened its doors to abused/neglected, homeless and “at-risk” children on April 19, 1979. The very first Easter, in 1980, that Assurance Home was in operation, Altrusa made and delivered Easter baskets to the adolescent children who were living in the program. This long-standing tradition has continued through the years and on Good Friday this year, Altrusa blessed the children again with its kindness and generosity. The Easter baskets are stuffed full of all types of interesting items that the teens love along with candy and treats. (Submitted Photo)
