Nancy Peggy Britton, 77, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018, in Lubbock, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Community Church on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery.

On December 16, 1940, Nancy was born to Antonio Treviño and Dolores Villarreal in Hualahuises, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She attended Bellevue College in Omaha, NE, and ENMU-Portales, NM, where received her Master of Arts Degree.
Nancy joined the United States Air Force and proudly served in the Vietnam ERA and USAF, before she was honorably discharged on Nov 15, 1962. Before retirement, she worked as a Student Counselor for the Roswell Independent School District (RISD).
She was an active member of American Counselors Association, American Legion as a Finance Officer and Membership Chair, Chaves County Veterans serving as Board Secretary and faithfully participated in the Roswell Veterans Honor Guard, providing military honors to deceased Veterans.
Nancy’s gifted compassion made a difference in her community. She volunteered for Grace Community Church, Senior Circle and Enchanted Squares. She was one of the most devout and committed member of Grace Community Church, Roswell, NM. Nancy was very loved and will be will be greatly missed.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish Nancy’s memory are her son, Carl Britton and wife, Carrie Britton of Lubbock, TX; five grandsons: Chris and wife, Amanda, Josh and wife, Becky, Eric and wife, Callie, Nic and Fiancé, Alli, Zak; one granddaughter, Aly and husband, Tanner; great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Mason, Caden, Carlee, Emma, Ellie, Jack, Beau, Britton Jeffery; siblings: Maria (Maruca), Joe (Chacho), Virginia (Chita), Elva Rosa, Jesse (Chuy # 2), twins- Herlinda (Prieta), Hermelinda (Mela); many nieces and nephews; and precious pets: Fluffy and Boots.
Preceding Nancy in death were her parents: Antonio and Dolores Villarreal Treviño; Siblings: Jesse (Chuy), Edwardo, Twins- Dolores (Lola) And Mayo (Mario), and Josefa.
