Police say alcohol may be a factor in a motorcycle crash that killed a 52-year-old Roswell man around 10 p.m. Sunday.

James A. Woodell, 52, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The initial investigation by the New Mexico State Police indicated that Woodell was traveling east on Zinnia Road near Red Bridge Road on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle. For unknown reasons, the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed.

No additional information is available at this time.
