Amazing father and awesome ‘Papa’, James A Wooddell passed away on April 8, 2018. His soul mate and best friend for almost 35 years, Venus Wooddell, survives him. Born to Shirley Ray and Judy Schoonover Aderholt, James was born on July 2, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas. He and Venus McPherson were married in Arlington, Texas, on July 29, 1983. James was well-known as a “Jack of All Trades!” His spare time was spent fishing and riding motorcycles – and of course drinking whiskey (not one Venus’ favorite activities for him to participate in). James also enjoyed hot rods and guns, but his greatest pleasure was kids, grandkids, and god kids – HIS KIDS!

Preceding James in death are his father, Shirley Ray Aderhol; other mother, Martha Jean McPherson; siblings: Dale Warden, Carol Wooddell, Ricky Jean Cassidy, Jack McPherson; grandparents: Lillian Wooddell, Joe Wooddell; nieces/nephews: Michelle Fuentez, Terry Jo Sherrie, Keisha McPherson, Justine McPherson, and Tasha McPherson.

Those surviving to cherish the memory of James are his loving wife, Venus Wooddell; children: James Earl and wife, Misty Wooddell, Tina Wooddell and spouse, Kelby Russell, Angelo “Casper” Apadaca; grandchildren: Lane, Cody, Nevaeh, Zachariah, Madisyn, Damian, Gabriel, Xavier, more god children than can be counted; mother: Judy Aderholt; siblings: Darla Prindle, Debra Warden, Bobby and wife, Dena Wooddell, John and wife, Cathy Wooddell, Richard and wife, Paula Wooddell, Steve Aderholt, Ted McPherson; nieces/nephews: Bobby, Brian, Shaunte & Robert, Walter, Luke, David Randy, Misty, Dustin, Jonathan, Derek, Timothy, Alex, Bryan M., Jacob, Christina; 4 dogs, a chicken, 2 rats, and a rattlesnake. James is also survived by many amazing friends.

James touched many people’s hearts and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
