John Dilmore has been named editor of the Roswell Daily Record, publisher Barbara Beck announced last week.

As editor, Dilmore will manage the 127-year-old publication’s news operations, steering the direction of content in print and online.

“There are many stories to be told in Roswell, and I look forward to getting to know the area and its people by being part of telling those stories,” Dilmore said. “Leading the newsroom of a publication as established and respected as the Roswell Daily Record is a unique opportunity.”

The Daily Record’s position as a family-owned business with strong ties to the community is an advantage for its staff of reporters and editors when it comes to gathering news, Dilmore added.

“John Dilmore’s experience and energy will help us build and expand upon our newspaper,” Beck said. “He will greatly add to our goal of continuing to improve our publication.”
