Community Planting Day

MainStreet Roswell is asking for volunteers to fill the planters downtown with flowers. Everybody will meet at the Chaves County Courthouse lawn at 9 a.m. for instructions. MainStreet Roswell will bring enough flowers for all the planters. Volunteers are asked to bring their gardening spades. Everybody is invited to help and make downtown beautiful. Bone Springs Art Space opening

Roswell’s newest art center, Bone Springs Art Space, 212 E. Walnut St., is holding its grand opening. At 10 a.m. there will be a ribbon cutting. Daniel Hsu concert

The Roswell Symphony Orchestra presents pianist Daniel Hsu, at 7:30 p.m. at the Pearson Auditorium at the New Mexico Military Institute. 2016-2017 season soloist Hsu returns to close the 2017-2018 season after his recent win of Bronze prize at The Cliburn. Roswell Film Festival

The annual Roswell Film Festival takes place at Galaxy 8 movies at the Roswell Mall. Kick-off is on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. with showings of last year’s winners. Filmmakers from around the world have sent in their short films and feature films that will be shown throughout the festival. The grand finale is on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. when the winners will be announced. Passes are now available at roswellfilmfestival.com.

Stellar Music Festival

The annual Stellar Music Festival takes place at Stellar Coffee Co., 315 N. Main St. The festival is free for the public, starting every day at 6 p.m. Artists performing are Lexy Rose, Chance Bailey Johnson, Shelby Lynn Johnson, Nova Rush, Brandon Bailey Johnson and Matthew Palmer to mention a few. pARTy After Hours

The Roswell Museum and Art Center, 100 W. 11th St., is having its pARTy After Hours event from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a free event for adults and includes art activities, gallery talk by Roswell Artist in Residence Julie Alpert, interactive sound installation by guest artist Andy Arkley, gallery games and prizes, a kids activity zone (to free up parents to enjoy the event) and hors d’Oeuvres and a cash bar.

Make Time For Kids

Make Time For Kids is an auction event to benefit the Chaves County CASA Program. The auction items are donated and created unique clocks by artists, craftspeople and community members. Honky Tonk Man’s “Shake, Rattle & Roll Comedy Show”

“Shake, Rattle & Roll Comedy Show” with Special Guest WWE Hall of Fames Greg “The Hammer” Valentine comes to EPIQ Night Club, 3905 SE Main St. at 8:30 p.m. Don’t miss the chance to meet and see these two Wrestling icons on stage, up close and personal with this 90 minute one-of-a-kind comical show. Annual Roswell Community Yard Sale

The Roswell Community Yard Sale is the biggest yard sale in town and takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Russ DeKay Soccer Complex, 1500 N. Grand Ave. There will be more than 60 family booths. Arts Connect — ‘Celebrate the Arts Day’

The annual “Celebrate the Arts Day” will be held at the Roswell Mall from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Students families and friends of the arts are invited to this unique and free art experience from Arts Connect, the Roswell Independent School District K-6 elementary arts program. Free activities will be ongoing throughout the day, such as 5th grader recorder concert, Tantamounter — the human copy machine, visual arts K-5 displays, performing arts K-4 collaborative performance, collaborative community art project displayed at the mall and there will be Arts Connect items for sale. Circus Saurus

Carson & Barnes Circus presents the world debut of Circus Saurus on their 81st tour in the U.S. The audience will be sent back in time to experience the giants of the past at the apex of the big top.
