Local police are investigating a shooting in north Roswell that sent a local man to a hospital.
According to an incident report by the Roswell Police Department, officers were called to the 800 block of West 13th Street at 10:08 p.m. Tuesday in response to a report of shots being fired.
“They found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg,” RPD public information officer Todd Wildermuth said. “He reported seeing two vehicles pull up by each other and then hearing an argument followed by shots being fired.”
Police said the 34-year-old then discovered he had suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to the report by the RPD, which describes the incident as an aggravated battery with a firearm, the firearm used in the shooting has not been determined.
Police said the victim of the shooting refused to seek charges.
