Creative Learning visits Optimists

Abie Smith, principal of the Creative Learning Center for the Roswell Independent School District, spoke to the Sunrise Optimist Club recently. She delivered a very informative talk about the center, the upcoming Art Connection event and her responsibilities as principal. She explained how the art teacher travels from school to school to reach every student at that grade level once a week throughout the district. “We are very fortunate to have an art program in our schools,” Smith said. The Sunrise Optimist Club invites speakers throughout the community to talk to the club each Wednesday morning, 7 a.m., at the Red Onion Restaurant. To learn more about the Sunrise Optimist Club and its many programs which benefit the youth of Roswell, join us for a breakfast meeting any Wednesday, or contact our membership chairman Roger K.
