Police seek info for missing man

[Update: According to police, Ulibarri was found early Monday afternoon with his van near the Galaxy 8 Theater in north Roswell. Police said the man appears to be in good physical condition, but is still being checked at a hospital to ensure his well-being.]

The Roswell Police Department is requesting the public’s help find a local man who was last known to be living in his van in the Walmart parking lot in north Roswell.  

According to a press release by the RPD, though 78-year-old Sirilio Ulibarri usually contacted his son in California on a weekly basisUlibarri‘s son recently reported to authorities he had not heard from his father in about two months. 

The missing man’s son also told authorities his father’s phone does not appear to be working. 

“Ulibarri is 78 years old and, according to his son, may be suffering from the early stages of dementia,” said RPD public information officer Todd Wildermuth in the release. “Ulibarri is described as about 5 feet, seven inches tall, 180 pounds, with black and gray hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left arm of Lucy.‘”

Wildermuth added that Ulibarri’s tan Ford minivanCalifornia license plate 5MQZ619, has not been found in the Walmart parking lot or anywhere in Roswell at this point.  

Anyone with potential information regarding the whereabouts of Ulibarri is asked to call the RPD at 575624-6770.
