Luther Clyde “Buddy” Bills, 88, of Ft. Worth, Texas passed from this life to his eternal home on April 26, 2018. Buddy was born February 1,1930 to Clyde and Ruth Bills in Roswell where he grew up, graduating from Roswell High School in 1949. Buddy joined the US Army in 1951 and served in Korea during the Korean War. In 1959, he married Jackie Gray Brewer in Roswell and raised 3 children. Buddy and Jackie moved to Midland, Texas and then Farmington, New Mexico, before Buddy retired from The Permian Corporation in 1992 and they moved back to Roswell. When Jackie retired in 1996, they began a 10 year adventure living full-time in their RV spending summers working in Yellowstone National Park. In 2006, they settled in Azle, Texas and eventually Fort Worth. He enjoyed fly fishing, fly-rod building, golf, volunteering at the Colonial Golf Tournament and attending his annual Army unit reunion.

Bud is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, his parents, Clyde and Ruth Bills, sister Mary Price, and brother Sonny Bills.

Buddy is survived by daughter Carrie Hecht and Brian of Fort Worth, TX, son Doug Brewer and Debbie of Roswell, daughter Paula Kaye and Tom of Tijeras, NM, grand children: Will Brewer and Amber, Derek Brewer and Kristie, Bridgette Bracker and Peter, and Samantha Ristau and Joel, great-grandchildren: Baylee & Tim, Brooke & Jacob, Austin & Ka’lynn, Maycee and Makaylee and 4 great-great-grand children: Emily, Rylee, Cameron and Avery. Other survivors include sister-in-law, Jean Nettles and brother-inlaw, Tim Gray, Jr. both of Fort Worth, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at South Park Cemetery on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Family will receive visitors at 3104 N. Garden after service on May 12, 1:00-3:00 PM.

Family asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Buddy’s memory to Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 105, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
