City to close portion of downtown street

A small portion of West Fifth Street in downtown Roswell will be closed for two days during daytime hours next week as a contractor does some drilling and replaces a monitoring well required in the area of an old underground fuel storage tank.

On Wednesday and Thursday, West Fifth Street will be closed between Main Street and the alley/parking lot entrance immediately to the west. The closure will occur each day from 6 a.m. to about 7 p.m.

Motorists are asked to use extra caution around the work area and make plans to use alternate routes if necessary.
