Juan “Pampo” Lopez, 85, of Porvenir, Mexico, and Roswell, New Mexico, passed away in peace on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Celebrate Juan’s life by visiting www.andersonbethany.com to offer a memory or expression of sympathy for his family.
Surviving to cherish Juan’s memory are his devoted wife of 49 years, Elisa Lopez; eight children: Jorge (Elida) Alvidrez, Johnny (Mari) Alvidrez, Sylvia (Julian) Quiroz, Ricky (Shelly) Alvidrez, Martha (Larry) Alvarez, Lalo (Loverne) Alvidrez, Eddie (Laurie) Alvidrez, Carlos (Luanu’u) Lopez; twenty-three grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four daughters from previous marriage: Maribel Garibaldi, Olga Muriyo, Sara Padilla, Bertha Madero.
His zest for life and inability to be still kept Juan active his entire life. Juan enjoyed riding horses, dancing, attending the rodeo and watering the trees in his front yard. Anyone that knew Pampo, knew how much he liked sweets and to say Pampo had a sweet tooth is an understatement. He loved visiting his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Public Viewing will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, 2609 S. Main St., Roswell, NM, on Thursday, May 24, 2018, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Please join us in celebrating Juan’s life at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, May 25, 2018, 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Juan’s family lovingly wrote this tribute in his honor.
