Johnny Dave Hidalgo, Jr, “Pelón”, 56, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. There will be a Rosary at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Monday, May 28, 2018, 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On July 21, 1961, Johnny, also known as “Pelón”, was born in Roswell, New Mexico, to Johnny Y. and Dolores G. (Brady) Hidalgo of Roswell. He attended high school in Hobbs, New Mexico. Johnny was a truck driver for over thirty-five years before he retired. Some of the most joyful times Johnny had was riding his motorcycle and cross-country driving. Johnny lived for his kids and grandchildren, he loved them dearly. He will be greatly missed, and the stories Johnny shared with his family and friends will forever remain in their hearts.
Those left to cherish Johnny’s memory are his loving companion, Annette Duran; mother of his children, Judy Chavez; children: John Matthew Hidalgo and wife, Adriana Hidalgo, Anna Hidalgo, Sunni Sanchez and husband, Jorge Sanchez; grandchildren: Quiana, Honey, Hennessey, Ceci, Jorgie, Benji, Ellianna, Roman, Celestee; mother, Dolores G. Hidalgo; siblings: Tony Hidalgo and wife, Daniella, Wilfred Hidalgo and wife, Rosa, Rachel Hidalgo; nieces and nephews: Jared, Renee, Cheyenne, Fabian, Damian, Daisy, Lilly, Santos, Samantha, Marie, J.R.; extended children: Vanessa Romero, Amy Analla, Antionette Analla; extended grand-children: Elija, Eric, Ryan, Victor, Michael Kaleb, Cameron, Audrina, Mariah.
Preceding Johnny in death were his father, Johnny Y. Hidalgo, Sr; grandparents: Dave (Tata) and Juanita Hidalgo; nephew, Timothy Hidalgo; and extended son, Jared Analla.
Those chosen as Honorary Pallbearers are: Jorgie Sanchez, Omar Salazar, Roman Hidalgo, Benji Sanchez, Elijah Romero, Eric Romero, Ryan Romero, Michael Kaleb Herrera and Victor Romero.
Blessed to be Pallbearers are: Wilfred Hidalgo, Greg Hidalgo, Rusty Rogers, Joe Artiaga, Pete Brady, Danny Archuleta, Billy Brady, Jared Hidalgo and Gregory Duke.
