Drowning victim found at Bottomless Lakes

The Roswell Fire Department responded to a drowning Wednesday evening at the Devil’s Inkwell at Bottomless Lakes State Park near Roswell. Todd Wildermuth, city of Roswell public information officer, said after an extensive search by RFD crews, the body was located by a New Mexico State Police diver. Elizabeth Armijo, spokesperson for the New Mexico State Police said the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
