Totally ‘80s Night

The Roswell Public Library, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is hosting the Totally ‘80s Night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There will be music contests, prizes and dance. Refreshments will be provided for the free event. DJ provided by Scott Montgomery of Montgomery’s Music Instruction. Junior Roswell Astronomy Club

The Junior Roswell Astronomy Club is meeting at the Roswell Adult and Senior Center, 807 N. Missouri Ave., from 1 to 2 p.m. Attendees learn about space, science and other science topics while doing hands-on activities. A short science program will be shown as well. City rec department to host ballroom dance

A donation of any amount to benefit programs operated by the Roswell Parks and Recreation Department is all that’s needed to take to the dance floor for a ballroom dance. The event at the Roswell Adult and Recreation Center, 807 N. Missouri Ave., will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. The donation for admission will be made at the door. DJ Express will be playing a variety of dance music, including waltzes, tangos, twosteps, line dances and more. For more information, call 575-624-6718.

Parkinson support group to meet

The Southwest Parkinson Society Support Group will meet at 5:30 p.m. June 19 in the Mesquite Room of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, 405 W. Country Club Road. The support group meets the third Tuesday of every month. For more information, call 432-556-7192.
