Totally excellent 80s night at the library

As Tuesday evening’s 80s-themed event drew to a close, a ‘Garth Algar’ look-alike emceed the costume contest for attendees at the Roswell Public Library. Three gift cards were awarded to the top three costumes after each participant was asked what they knew about the 80s. The all-ages event featured 80s bingo, a Rubik’s cube class, a dance party, an ET photo opportunity — and even pizza and cake. Crystal Harkness, Children’s Library assistant, said there were around 68 people at the most crowded point of the event. The party was created to celebrate the first week of the Summer Reading program. (Alison Penn Photo)
