A Pioneer Bank employee in El Paso recently received the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

The bank is headquartered in Roswell.

Bridget Vejil, a centralized processing manager, volunteered 259 hours at the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence (CASFV) and earned the Silver Award. CASFV provides confidential assistance, educational programs and hope to families in need.

In 2017, Pioneer Bank implemented the Team Pioneer program, in which nonprofit organizations can reach out to the bank to help out financially and/or with volunteers, according to a released statement. Many team members are involved on boards for community organizations.

“As a community-focused bank, we are committed to make a positive difference by engaging in meaningful and effective programs that work to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods,” said Christopher G. Palmer, Pioneer Bank president.
