Bertha Marie Salinas, 68, entered into rest on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Roswell, NM. Bertha was born August 7, 1949, in Roswell, NM, to Savino P. Sanchez Sr. and Blacita Mata Sanchez, of Roswell. She graduated from Roswell High School in 1968. Bertha received her associates degree in Business in 1984. Bertha worked for Nova Bus for 16 years before she retired in 2003. Bertha brought light to the many lives she touched throughout her life, and she will continue to live on in our hearts. Her greatest joy in life was loving our Heavenly Father and cherishing her family unconditionally. She will be missed greatly and will forever be remembered by her loving smile.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Johnny Salinas and his wife, Galyn, Andrea Collier and her husband, Scott, and Christopher Salinas and his wife, Cassandra; her brothers and sisters: Blacita Zamora, Belia Chaparro, Savino Sanchez Jr. and his wife, Grace, Nina Johnson and her husband, Ron, Eliver Sanchez and his wife, Shirley, Anna Sanchez-Vermeulen, and Gina Sanchez-McInvale and her husband, Joe; her grandchildren: Stacy Crandall and her husband, Jonathan, Tracy Posuniak and her husband, Nick, Briana Chavez and her husband, Michael, Justin Collier and his wife Angela, Brenna Salinas, Arron Collier, Stephanie Collier, Amber Salinas and her fiancé, Timothy Valenzuela, Andrew Collier and his fiancé, Jessica Horton, Erica Salinas, Dylan Salinas, Frankie Carrillo, John Carrillo, Nevaeh Estrada, Kalaya Salinas, Joshua Carrillo, Saleigha Salinas, Christopher Salinas, Ally Carrillo, and Julian Carrillo; her great-grandchildren: Damian Chavez, Malia Salinas, Xavien Collier, Nathaniel Vazquez, Michael Chavez Jr., Jared Marquez, Bailey Salinas, Sariah Collier, Elaina Rockne, Chloe Rockne, Andrew Malachai Collier, Jaxon Rockne, Dominic Valenzuela and Aubriana Collier; along with 22 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and friends.
Preceding Bertha in death were her parents: Savino P. Sanchez Sr. and Blacita Mata Sanchez; her infant sister, Inez Sanchez; and her sister, Benita Zamora; her great-nephew, Scott Michael Sanchez; and the father of her three children, Juan Salinas Jr.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Church on the Move in Roswell, NM.
