Julia Isadora Montano, 87, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in Roswell, New Mexico. A Funeral Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On April 4, 1931, Julia was born to Juan C. Montano and Elvira Maldonado in Dalhart, Texas. She attended school in Dalhart, Texas. Julia moved to Roswell, New Mexico, where she made her life in 1954. Prior to retirement, she worked for a bottling distributor. Julia was a quiet but religious person who had deep faith in God. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Julia’s family will carry fond memories of her and she will be greatly missed by all.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Julia are her grandson, John Paul Pekar of Austin, Texas; brothers: Larry of Roswell, Victor of Tennessee, Joe of Kansas, Benny Montano of California; sisters: Janie Montano, Clara Montano-Thomas, Freda C. Allison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Julia in death were her daughter, Elvira Pekar, parents: Juan C. Montano and Elvira Maldonado Montano; and sister, Lula Magdaleno.
