Carolyn Sue Adams-Tederick passed away at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM on June 25, 2018. Carolyn was born on December 8, 1941 in Clovis, NM to Esterline and John Adams. She graduated from Portales High School in 1960 and continued her education at ENMU-Portales earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1965 and her Master of Business Education in 1975. She met Edward Tederick in 1964 in Clovis, NM while Ed was serving in the air force. They married on June 7, 1966 in Portales on Carolyn’s family homestead. Ed and Carolyn moved to Roswell, NM in 1968 where Carolyn began her 34 years of teaching. She spent two years for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, 15 years at Roswell High School, and 17 years and Goddard High School where she retired in 1996. Carolyn continued working for RISD as the Ticket Manager of Athletics until her death. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy Adams. She is survived by her husband Edward Tederick, daughter Brenda Tederick-Searcy, grandchildren Candace, Cody, and Josh Searcy, and future great-grandchild Connar Shearman. Carolyn’s Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd, at 6:00 pm at Central Church of the Nazarene, 901 E. Country Club Rd with Randy Elftman officiating.
