The Roswell Police Department and the city of Roswell are looking forward to the Roswell Sertoma Club’s Mike Satterfield Memorial 20th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza this Fourth of July. Plans have been made to provide a safe and smooth post-event exit for the many people expected to attend the happenings at Cielo Grande Recreation Area.

As motorists leave the area following the fireworks show, they are asked to be aware of and adhere to signs and police officers directing traffic, as various streets will be closed and detours will be in place to create a traffic flow that will allow people to most efficiently exit the area, city officials said.

Here are a few things everyone should be aware of:

• 8th & Montana: Traffic will be directed east and south only.

• 8th & Sycamore: Traffic will be directed south only.
