Our loving father, Norman R. Bair, 75, entered into rest on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was born January 29, 1943 in Dodge City Kansas, the son of William Roger and Myra (Egy) Bair.  He was a 1962 graduate of Minneola High School and graduated from Kansas State College in Pittsburg with his Bachelors in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry.  He voluntarily served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Sergeant and served with Artillery in Vietnam. After his military service in 1972, he obtained his Masters in Biology from Kansas State College.  He had a successful career Quality Assurance focused in the food processing industry.
Norman retired in Roswell NM. He enjoyed reading, traveling, anything to do with aeronautics, Saab’s, classic cars, shooting/hunting, politics, world history (especially world war history) & good food!
He recently donated a large book collection to his hometown library. He was an avid reader who loved to write too! He loved to send letters to family and was extremely passionate about keeping up traditional ways of communication.
Since his retirement he traveled extensively both nationally and internationally, mostly overseas to visit various world war museums and landmarks. He was always ready to go on a road trip! Very adventurous, spontaneous and always on time!
Loving survivors include: his son, William Bair, Jr., Salina, Kansas; his daughter, Serena Bair, Crowley, Texas; and Skye Dooley, Granbury, Texas, grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral arrangements  were made by Minnis Mortuary. Normans funeral services were held in his hometown on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola KS. Father Ted Skalsky officiated.
Interment; Burial was followed in the Appleton Township Cemetery, Minneola KS. with full military honors by Howard Gotschall VFW Post 1714 and Military Honors for the State of Kansas.  Visitation with the family was held Wednesday, May 23rd at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola KS.
Pallbearers were the following gentleman; Galen Miller (Best friend), Mark Mahieu (Family), John Bair (Family), John O’Brien (Friend), Joel Hancock (Family Friend), and Jeff Sibley (Family).
