ENMU-R presidential candidates to meet with public

Community members will have a chance to meet the five finalists for president of Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell next week.

The candidates will be on campus Tuesday through July 19 for private interviews with committees of students, faculty, administrators and select community representatives, but the community can meet the finalists during open forums Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

“The search committee encourages and welcomes input and feedback on the candidates,” a news release indicated.

The following times have been given for candidates’ appearances at the public forums:

Carlee Drummer

• 2 p.m. – Eloy Chavez, dean, College of Extended Learning and Continuing Education, Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma;

Robert Munoz

• 2:30 p.m. – Carlee Drummer, president, Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, Connecticut;

• 3 p.m. – Shawn Powell, vice president for Academic Affairs, Casper College in Casper, Wyoming;

Shawn Powell

• 3:30 p.m. – Robert Munoz, vice president for Community and Industry Education, Trinity River Campus, Tarrant County College District in Fort Worth, Texas; and

Richard Sax

• 4 p.m. – Richard Sax, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College in Rio Grande, Ohio.
