Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating George Henry Alley, a suspect sought in connection with the recent shooting of two men in South Roswell.

George Henry Alley

Alley, 20, of Roswell is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 260 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, according to a release from the Roswell Police Department.

Alley is charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated assault in the shooting of two 18-year-old men outside a residence on West Byrne Street in south Roswell about 5:30 a.m. June 27. Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

An affidavit filed in Chaves County Magistrate Court said the victims — and a witness who drove the two victims to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center — had all gone to Alley’s house that morning because one of them was upset with Alley.

Police later executed a search warrant on Alley’s residence and found ammunition inside, some spent casings and a car with bullet holes in it and blood in the seat used by the victims and witness.
