Martin Flores, 79, of Roswell entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 22, 2018, after suffering from a short illness. A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, August 6, 2018, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On November 11, 1938, Martin was born to Rafael Flores and Dominga Aguilar in Artesia, New Mexico. He grew up in Hagerman, New Mexico, and graduated from Hagerman High School. After high school, Martin moved to California and lived in Soquel, California for some time before moving to Roswell in the 1980s. At that time, he cared for his mother and opened a private home health care in Roswell for the sick and elderly. Martin will be remembered for his kind and generous care of the sick and elderly, including patients who suffered from such conditions as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Surviving to cherish the memory of Martin are his sister, Mary Vigil and husband, Don of Albuquerque; brothers: Albert Flores and wife, Estella of Ruidoso Downs, Carlos Flores and wife, Jane of Roswell; sisters-in-law: Hope Flores of Tucson, Arizona, and Glenda Flores of Watsonville, California.

Martin was treasured by his nephews and nieces: Angela, Josie, Steven, Albert Jr, Jennifer, Dominic, Sarah, Kevin, Anna, Alicia; numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews, living in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Rhode Island; as well as his dear friend, John Dalton. Martin will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Preceding Martin in death were his parents: Dominga Flores and Rafael Flores; two brothers: John and Victor; and one niece, Patricia Flores Wheatley
