Guest speakers at a recent regular breakfast meeting of the Sunrise Optimist Club were Health Educator Joann Palomino with the New Mexico Department of Health. Joining her was Community Epidemiologist Francisco Mimicas Porras, also with New Mexico Department of Health. They presented an informative program on the Community Health Assessment Tool. The Community Health Assessment Tool consists of targeting Health Priorities in counties throughout the state.

The Sunrise Optimist Club invites speakers throughout the community to talk to the club each Wednesday morning, 7 a.m., at the Red Onion Restaurant.

If you would like to know more about the Sunrise Optimist Club and its many programs to benefit the youth of Roswell, or hear the community speakers, join them for a breakfast meeting any Wednesday, or contact membership chairman Roger K. Burnett at 420-9420.
