Editor’s note: Incorrect information was provided in a press release from the city that appeared in the Aug. 14 edition. This version has been corrected.

As part of the city’s ongoing Community Investment Project, Roswell residents can save not only the landfill fees usually charged to dump household items, but citizens can also save a trip to the landfill. Through August, citizens can take non-hazardous trash from summertime clean-up of yards, garages, etc. to the roll-off container at the Elk’s Pool parking lot in south Roswell. The pool is located off Southeast Main Street just south of East Poe Street. Household hazardous items such as used paints, pesticides, fluorescent bulbs, motor oils, etc., still need to come to the landfill.

The roll-off will be stationed at a different location each month to provide a convenient site in town for household trash to be disposed of. The new location will be announced each month.

The roll-off should not be used for structure demolition materials, which must be taken to the landfill.
