Burglaries/thefts

An officer responded was dispatched to the 2000 block of North Kentucky Avenue at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 6 in reference to a call about the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.

An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of West Second Street Aug. 5 at 10:32 a.m in reference to a vehicle burglary. A .40 Caliber Smith and Wesson handgun valued at $343.99 was reported stolen.

An officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Cortez Court at 10:37 a.m. Aug. 6 in reference to a call about a battery and robbery. An LG K7 smartphone valued at $200 was reported stolen.

An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Evergreen Avenue Aug. 6 in response to a 6:58 p.m. call about a vehicle burglary. A Keria Cooler valued at $350 was reported stolen.

An officer was dispatched to a 2000 block of North Main Street business in reference to a 6:06 p.m. Aug. 6 call in reference to shoplifting. A Lenova laptop valued at $999.99 was reported stolen.

Criminal damage

An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Hervey Drive in response to a 9:13 a.m call Aug. 6 in reference to an incident of criminal damage. The back window of a 2017 blue Toyota sustained $1,000 in damage.

An officer was dispatched to the 400 block South Sycamore Street at 9:16 a.m. Aug. 7 in reference to a call about criminal damage. A wall sustained $200 worth of damage.

An officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of North Main Street Aug. 5 at 2:35 p.m. in reference to a report of a criminal damage in progress. A driver’s side window on 2011 Chevy pick-up truck sustained $250 worth of damage.

An officer responded to a Aug. 7 2:46 p.m. call at the 1000 block of North Greenwood Avenue in reference to a call a shooting of an unoccupied vehicle or dwelling. Two windows, two vehicle bodies, walls of a house and a screen door with a combined value of $2,800 were damaged.

Arrests/arrest citations

Johnny Robert Ocanna was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs during a 9:59 p.m. Aug. 5 traffic stop at the 2100 of North Main Street.

Pedro Sarellano was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia Aug. 6 during a 1:04 a.m. traffic stop at the 1700 block of South Union Avenue and North Plains Park Drive.

Loretta Guvera was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at the 200 block of West Eleventh Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Juan Hernandez was placed under arrest and released with an arrest citation at the 300 block of East Church Street at 10:03 Aug. 6 for possession of drug paraphernalia.
