Pecos Elementary fifth-grade students head back to their classrooms after receiving new Chromebooks thanks to Cable ONE’s “Cable ONE cares” initiative during a Friday morning assembly. Kirk Mundy, bilingual fifth-grade teacher, said the initiative would help him reach all of his students by technological means. Principal Dr. Barbara Ryan thanked the business for the 50 Chromebooks, and said the gift from Cable ONE was “awesome.” Obtaining the Chromebooks would not have been possible otherwise, she said. The “Cable ONE cares” initiative was designed to improve student access to technology in schools.
