Dee and her husband lived in Tatum for many years until her husband’s death in 1982, where she was the town baby-sitter and helped raise numerous children. Dee was also second mom to many of the teenagers that hung out at her house. She then moved to Roswell to live with her daughter Linda. Dee was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved children, and many of those she baby-sat for, still call her Granny. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Dee will be missed terribly but is in a better place now, singing with the angels and with all those who passed before her.

A celebration of her life and funeral will be held on Friday, August 31, at 10 am at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Viewing with be held Thursday 8 am to 7 pm at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dee’s name can be made to the Assurance Home, 1000 E 18th St, Roswell, NM.
