Allan Dennis Curtis, 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in Lubbock, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 8, 2018, 5:30 PM. Allan’s family will receive friends and visitors at 207 S. On May 24, 1947, Allan was born to Merle Curtis and Rita Gilmore Curtis in Topeka, Kansas. On June 4, 1972, he married Jesusita “Suzie” Ramos Curtis in Zaragoza, Mexico. He had previously worked as a Police Officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, having graduated from Thiokol Company. Allan later worked twenty-three years for Nova Bus, and then retired. It wasn’t long before he decided to work for Holsum Bakery. Allan was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. He dearly loved his dog, Ernie. Allan was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, not only by his family and friends, but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Those left to cherish Allan’s memory are his loving wife of forty-seven years, Jesusita Curtis; son, Allan James Curtis and partner Jimmy Jimenez; daughters: Monica Denise Palma and husband, Elvio Palma, and Allison Renee Curtis; grandchildren: Jacob Daniel Matta, Serena Matta, Jeremy James Palma and partner Danyelle Silva, Julian Paul Palma, Jason Anthony Palma, Joshua Manuel Allan Curtis; great-grandchildren: Levi Jesus Palma, Jacob Daniel Matta Jr., Jennesis Champagne Matta; god-daughter, Paula Jo Ramos; longtime friend, Jimmy Bishop; sister-in-law, Esperanza Matta and husband Willie Matta; brother-in-law, Santiago Ramos; numerous nieces and nephews: Albert Matta, Frankie Ann Landeros, Robert Matta, Jose Matta, Pablo Matta, Paula Joe Ramos, Irvan Matta, William Matta, Santiago Ramos Jr., Michael Ramos, Matthew Ramos; special nieces: Tincy Garcia and Tina Torivino; several family members in Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri; and his loving pet, Ernie.

Preceding Allan in death were his parents, Merle Curtis and Rita Gilmore; granddaughter, Jasmine Rose Pacheco Curtis; brother, Dale Curtis; and two sisters-in-law, Guadalupe Ramos and Inocencia Matta.
