On Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Historical Society for Southeast New Mexico will host a Historic Book Fair in the Archive Building at 208 N. Lea.

Rare, out-of-print historic non-fiction titles will be for sale.

There will also be $5 Mystery Book Bags, which contain three books on a particular southwest-related subject and a mini Peter Hurd print. One random shopper per hour will also be the recipient of a free Mystery Book Bag.

In addition to this, published authors of the JOY Writers group will be on hand to sell and autograph copies of their works. Friends of the Roswell Public Library, as well as Danielle and Isidro González — compilers of “Never Forget Where You Came From” — will be available at the event with their books as well.
