Helen Marguerite Galloway was born on May 26, 1921 and died September 1, 2018. Marguerite was the youngest of the four children of Lewis and Euphemia Galloway. She grew up on a family farm north of WaKeeney, Kansas. Following her graduation from Kansas State University, she worked as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines where she met, and later married a young Army Air Corps Major, Lyman Sanders, Jr. The young couple moved to Roswell, New Mexico where they would eventually raise their three daughters.

Marguerite was an accomplished pianist who found great pleasure in piano performances with friends. She volunteered at the First Presbyterian Church as well as with her local PEO chapter. She really enjoyed skiing, gardening, playing bridge and tennis and she valued the friendships made through these activities.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman, her parents, her sister, Anna Lou and her brothers, George and Bob. She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Barbie and Jack Chynoweth, Beth and Ron Adair and Amy and Paul Radtke. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

She lived in Roswell for 65 years before moving to Olathe, Kansas in 2012. Her memorial service was held at Aberdeen Village in Olathe, Kansas on September 8, 2018.
