Man who fired shots at other man makes Roswell’s Most Wanted

A man accused of shooting at another man during an argument was placed on Roswell’s Most Wanted list Monday.

Jerry Marquez Jr., 40, is wanted on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm, according to a news release from the Roswell Police Department.

The release states that Marquez allegedly fired shots at another man after an argument about money Aug. 28 near West Second Street and North Washington Avenue. Marquez allegedly pulled out a gun in the midst of the argument and fired a shot as the other man fled.

The victim was not hit by the shot and did not want to press charges of aggravated assault directly related to being shot at, though investigation of the incident resulted in the charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Marquez is described in the release as six feet tall and 195 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his arm, back and both shoulders, according to the release.
