ENMSF Parade trophy winners announced

The trophy winners for floats in the Oct. 1 Eastern New Mexico State Fair Parade were announced this past week.

Eastern New Mexico Medical Center won the Grand Champion Award for their float.

The New Mexico Military Institute received the parade’s Patriotism Award and Immanuel Lutheran School won the Spirit Award. New Mexico National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy received the Judges’ Award.

Cub Scout Pack 26 won the trophy for best float from a youth organization.

Among schools, Mesa Middle School received the award for best Middle School Band, the Mountain View Middle School Cheerleaders won for best Middle School Cheer, the Roswell High School Band won for best High School Band and Dexter High School Cheerleaders and Band for best High School Cheer. Roswell High School’s Charlie’s Angels won for best High School Dance.

Carousel Learning Center took the award for best commercial float and From Forgotten to Forever Rescue won for best Non-Commercial float. Roswell Youth Football League Los Patos won in the RYFL and Cheer category.
