Mark Edward Woodward, 57, passed away October 7, 2018, at his home in Miami, Texas, with his daughter, Chelsea on one side, his sister, Lee Ann on the other side, and with his companion, co-worker, caretaker and wife, Shenette close by.
God saw him getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered, “Come to Me.”
Private family services have been held. Cremation was under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa, Texas.
Mark loved his life and family. He grew up hunting and fishing with his dad, Jean Woodward. He continued that tradition with his daughter, in full camo and cap, friends and his grandson, Alec. Mark enjoyed 40 years of pipelining, traveling across the United States, helping to build America.
Through his work, he made many lifelong friendships. His greatest joys were his daughter, grandson, close friends, and his best friend, his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Shenette Woodward; daughter, Chelsea Woodward and grandson, Alec Aranda, both of Roswell; a sister, Lee Ann Porter and nephew, Colbey Porter, both of Midland, Texas; cousins, stepsons and sister-in-law of Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Taylor Cochrane and family, Marilyn Wynn and the Armstrong family, all of Roswell; and Vicki Gavin of Omaha, Nebraska.
Memorials may be made to his beloved mother, Harriett Woodward’s favorites: the Salvation Army; or First United Methodist Church of Borger, Texas.
