Sections of North Washington Avenue between West 19th Street and Country Club Road are scheduled to be closed for paving Thursday and Friday.

The closures will be during daytime hours, approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Thursday, the contractor will be working the south half of the stretch of roadway. On Friday, the work will take place on the north half of the project length.

The paving to be done is “micro-surfacing,” which will seal the surface following earlier “hot recycling.” It is important that no one drives on the micro-surfacing, which will be wet and oily, until it cures after four hours of drying time.

The City of Roswell appreciates its residents’ patience and cooperation as this street is improved, city officials said.
