The Roswell Police Department suggests safe trick-or-treating for local families.

4 Trick-or-treat in groups and young children should be with adults or responsible teenagers.

4 Take flashlights if trick-or-treating will take place at dusk or later in the night; houses without lights on should be avoided.

4 Walk on sidewalks and be mindful of traffic. Avoid walking between parked cars and into the streets.

4 Drivers should also be aware of young pedestrians and exercise caution while driving in residential areas.
