Rudy Garcia passed from this life on Monday, October 29, 2018. He was born August 16, 1926 in Cebolla, NM to Alberto and Eufania Garcia.

Rudy was a devout Catholic and showed love for God and his family. He is a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was also an active member at St. John’s Catholic Church and active in the Men’s Club and also Knights of Columbus.

Rudy was stationed at Walker Air Force Base where he met his beloved wife Carmen. After a brief courtship they married and began their family. In the US Air Force, he serviced as a Petroleum Storage Tech and separated from the military in 1950 at which time he stayed on as Civil Service employee performing similar duties for 11 years. He later owned and operated Deep Rock Gas Station and also worked for the City of Roswell as a heavy machine operator.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carmen, daughter Priscilla, and sons George, Gerard and Christopher Garcia. Rudy and Carmen were happily married for 67 years. He is survived by Bernice & Ernesto Estrada, Mary Garcia, Lydia & Richard Gonzales and Rudy & Mozella Garcia. Grandchildren; Rebecca & George Cardenas, Christina & Timothy Rall, Daniel Estrada, Eugene Analla, Rene Analla, Fabian & Melissa Analla, Marcus & Marissa Gonzales, Monica & Fernando Garcia, Michael & Michelle Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Maria Garica, Michelle Garcia, Sonia MacDonald, Michelle & Derek Ramirez, George Morales, Carmen Morales, Nicole Garcia and Andrew Garcia and also 23 great children. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by many.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am. A viewing is set for Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.
