Store employees go the distance for customer

Jack Hudson, 96, of Dexter wants to share his appreciation for two employees of the Albertsons grocery store on South Main Street. On Oct. 12, he was shopping when he began to feel faint and thought he might pass out. That’s when Christy Kemei and another employee who has asked not to be identified decided to step in. They helped Hudson to his vehicle, and then Kemei drove him home while the other employee followed in her car. Once at his house, they helped Hudson unload the groceries. “I think that is really something when a big business takes care of their customers that way,” he said. Kemei said she enjoyed the chance to help. “He got to show us around” his house, she said. “He has a lot of collections from Germany and other places.” (Lisa Dunlap Photo)
