As part of their mission to give back to the Roswell community, students and staff at Military Heights Elementary annually perform numerous service projects. This year the student council wants to focus on giving back to Roswell. The student council kicked off the service projects this past week with a food drive to benefit Harvest Ministries Food Bank. The students collected more than 1,000 cans in the week of collection. The students already have numerous other projects planned and ready to start in the coming weeks and months. The Military Heights Student Council will soon kick off the school-wide collection of blankets to benefit the Homeless Coalition of Chaves County. Students are learning they are never too young to start giving back to their community, and that our community becomes better by supporting each other, school officials said. (Submitted Photos)
