Nathaniel Paredes, grandson of Johnny Gonzales and co-director of Community Volunteer Program, and Gina Gonzales, daughter of Johnny Gonzales and mother of Nathaniel, fill to-go boxes with Thanksgiving meals for those who could not attend the Johnny Gonzales Thanksgiving Dinner in person. Pictured on Paredes’ shirt is Johnny Gonzales, left, along with Johnny’s wife Mary Gonzales, who is leading the family in carrying on her late husband’s ministry for serving Roswell’s needy. Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, over 60 attendees with more coming in were served by over 50 volunteers at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 3201 S. Sunset Ave. (Alison Penn Photo)
