Joyce Maples was born on November 14, 1942 to William Harvey and Ruby Lee Smith in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is also preceded in death by her sister Ruby Marie Jones and her brother Harvey Lee Smith.

Joyce was a long time resident of Roswell. She attended Apostolic Bible Church for some time and loved the Pastor, his wife and people there. She loved God and His Word!

She worked at Glovers Meat packing for many years and Levi’s and also Target…she also worked a few other places thru out her life in Roswell.

She loved to crochet and for a season in her life that was what you would find her doing most of the time. She made many beautiful crochet pictures…some were of the Lord’s Last Supper and The Great Shepherd that she gave to her children along with many other beautiful crocheted items.

Joyce also loved to read mystery novels and Ann Rule was one of her favorites. Years later after she retired she would get on line with her friends and play her favorite game of Hearts and chit chat with people from all around.
