Tobosa Developmental Services will launch a day-long fundraising drive today as an effort to raise money to improve a building for its early intervention programs for children with developmental delays.

A Facebook event page advertising the #GivingTuesday event states the fundraising started at midnight and lasts until midnight Wednesday. #GivingTuesday is national day of philanthropy that takes place the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Melinda Olivas, communications and marketing director for Tobosa, said the money raised will go towards furnishing and making improvements to the old Primm Drug building stationed at Union Avenue and Eighth Street, which will eventually house Tobosa’s Los Pasitos Early Intervention programs.

The building was donated to Tobosa by Gary and Terri Finch.

People can make a donation by going to https://trytobosa.org/ and clicking on the #GivingTuesday hashtag on the top right corner of the homepage. Visitors will then be taken to a page describing Los Pasitos and the fundraising drive.
